Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs District 201Q4

Queensland, Australia

More than Sausages

Lions are members of Lions Clubs International, the service organisation dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why.

Local Clubs are part of the world's largest such organisation, with 1.4 million members serving in more than 200 countries and areas. The association is both non-political and non-sectarian.

We invite you to learn more of the Q4 District, Clubs, Members and Projects through our website, and perhaps a bit more about Lions!

District 201Q4 encompasses Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay, Notrth and South Burnett Regions, Callide Valley, Capricorn Coast, the Gem and Coal fields regions and all the way out to the Central West.

Our District has over 1,300 members in our network of  Lions, Lioness and Leos Clubs with new members joining every month.  The more members we have, the more people we can help.   You can too!   Membership enquiries are most welcome

Where there's a NEED, There's a LION

Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller. And communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy  We meet the needs of our local communities and the world. With 46,000 clubs in every corner of the globe, no matter where you go, there’s probably a Lions club nearby.

Our 1.4 million men and women in our 46,000 clubs support vision and health screenings, medial research, community facilities, eye hospitals. We award scholarships and support youth projects. We provide immediate assistance in time of disaster and provide ongoing support for rebuilding post disasters.

We enjoy good company. We have fun in our clubs. And when we meet fellow Lions for the first time, we treat them like old friends.  We are kind and generous people who want to help.

Becoming a Lion

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. While their volunteer efforts are focused on their local communities, their vision, as part of an International Organisation with clubs in over 208 countries, extends to addressing, health, humanitarian and educational needs right around the world.
